random thought of the day: I finally think I understand a core element of why I think that the Thornton generation of Shadow is so unappealing to me. I truly think it is because shadow was originally written fairly consistently as a deeply curious soul. Sure, he's reactionary, but that's just trauma yknow. Like he is always asking questions in the game. Take the difference between the depictions of mephiles in 06 compared to the newer generations game. like not once does shadow ask who mephiles is during the whole fight in generations. meanwhile in 06 he's like constantly just like "everybody needs to tell me wtf is going on right now or im gonna lose my SHIT". so idk, that's my thought of the day. remember kids, incuriosity is how fascism thrives, so keep asking those questions :D
